About the country

The Maldives archipelago, made up of atolls in the Indian Ocean, is packed with wonderful dive spots. It needs no introduction, we had a wonderful time in the channels and at the pinnacles : a squadron of eagle rays, a shark cleaning station, oceanic manta rays, … That said, the dives aren’t easy, with average visibility and down- or up-currents, …

In our opinion, the best way to explore these underwater riches is to take a dive cruise departing from Malé. This lets you visit the Ari, North Malé and South Malé atolls.

Here’s the map of the dive cruise we did : .

Aggressor 1 dive cruise from Malé : 5 days of “eat sleep and dive” with 4 nitrox dives a day, including night dives.

An old sailing boat, not very comfortable, but the crew takes great care of you. (The company changed itinerary and boat in 2017)

The dives, exclusively drift dives, are done from the dhoni with passionate dive masters. (16 guests max)
