A tropical Atlantic island off the coast of Senegal, Sao Vicente is volcanic and arid, but underwater it has reefs teeming with fish.
The sites are scattered around the famous bay of Mindelo and there’s still a lot left to explore … Expect wind and currents.
Dives depart near the Mindelo yacht club, there are few diving tourists and only one dive club on Sao Vicente, at most we were 8 divers underwater at once.

In Mindelo, a single dive club, tricky to find : DiveTribe, we never met the owner, but the staff are friendly and speak French.
It’s possible to do 2 to 3 dives a day, morning and afternoon. The zodiac sits quite high with no ladder and has a capacity of 10 people.

Kira’s boutique hotel, a few minutes from downtown, quiet, clean and welcoming. A huge breakfast with local specialties. The hotel also has a lovely terrace and a roof top for evenings. With a card, it’s possible to take a dip at the hotel next door.
