About the country
Martinique holds a special place for us compared to everywhere else we’ve been : it’s the island where we did our first try dive and learned to dive !
Every dive happens along the coast, sheltered by the Caribbean Sea. There are many easily accessible sites : La Perle to the north near St Pierre, all the way south, the Diamond Rock, around the Anses d’Arlet with lovely fish-filled drift dives, as well as the Nahoon wreck, the cave of colors, the Salomon pools, …

Espace Plongée Martinique , which took over the old Planète Bleue (visited in April 2005) at Pointe du Bout in Les Trois-Îlets.
The club has two large, comfortable boats and offers a morning and afternoon dive, guided or independent as you prefer, plus a trip north once a week.
There’s a great atmosphere and the guides give good advice.

Get a rental near Les Trois-Îlets for the diving, and a car to tour the island. We enjoyed villa Anqhub for its privacy, the kindness of the hosts and its location on Pointe du Bout.
Visiting the distilleries, including the Clément estate.
La Route de la Trace and the Atlantic coast.
The pretty village of Petite Anse d’Arlet.
Stroll along the classic beaches : Anse Mabouya, the Petit Macabou or Les Salines (the most beautiful in the Antilles), and watch the sunset there.
